Organic Red Rice

Red rice is an unpolished variety, retaining far more nutritional value than white or polished rice. Because it keeps its red bran layer, it’s naturally higher in fibre and has a flavour that’s richer, nuttier, earthier and more complex than white (hulled) rice. This bran layer contains up to 95% of the rice’s dietary fibre and key minerals –including iron, zinc, potassium, sodium and manganese – while the inner white portion is mostly carbohydrate and protein.
